A Central Islip man is in custody 22 days after allegedly trying to gun down a man in North Amityville.

U.S. Marshals helped arrest 25-year-old Rashad Woolridge in Wyandanch yesterday. Authorities say he was hiding out on South 28th Street since last month's shooting.

The victim was hit in the leg, hip and lower back, but survived.

Police haven't said what led to the shooting.
