PSEG LI to get $729M in storm protection funds

PSEG Long Island is getting more than $700 million from Albany to help prevent power problems in the event of a major storm.
The funding will go toward replacing circuits and elevating substations.
Crews will start making the improvements in the towns of Huntington and Southold next month.
More than 1 million people were left without power after Superstorm Sandy.
