Police say residents were safely rescued after a fire that broke out at a house in Lakeview overnight.

Police say they responded to 3 Ronkonkoma Ave. around 2 a.m. Wednesday. They found a fire developing on the second floor.

Authorities say they were able to get everyone out the house, and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
