A Freeport man has died after being attacked in his home, police say.

The incident occurred on Laurette Lane around 3:45 p.m. Tuesday.

News 12 Long Island was told that the victim was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The victim's identity has not yet been released. Police say he was in his 50s.

No specific motive has been determined, but police believe the victim was targeted in the attack.
