Police in Patchogue are cracking down on drunk and impaired drivers this weekend.

Eight people were arrested overnight at a sobriety checkpoint in the village.

Over 400 vehicles in total went through the checkpoint.

The sobriety stops will continue throughout the weekend to keep roads safe during the extended weekend.
