Police say one person was seriously injured after a crash in Coram.

According to police, Nicole Hernandez, 31, of Farmingville, was driving on West Yaphank Road near Beach Lane when she veered off the road and her vehicle struck a tree at 11:46 p.m.

Hernandez was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
