A letter written by Brian Laundrie's mother has been called into question before a judge.

The attorney for Gabby Petito's parents said Tuesday that the letter mentions "burying a body," helping keep Brian out of prison and says to "burn after reading."

An attorney for the Laundrie family responded in a virtual hearing, saying the letter is not dated or relevant.

The Petito family are suing the Laundries for emotional distress.

The case is expected to see trial in August.
