Police say a person was hit and killed by a train in Syosset this morning.

News 12 Long Island has learned the person was not authorized to be on the tracks when they were struck around 12:45 a.m.

The train was heading from Penn Station to Huntington.



There is no word on the victim's identity right now.



The LIRR is not expecting morning delays.
