A group of veterans and their dogs reunited with Paws of War Wednesday night for an emotional surprise.

The Nesconset nonprofit partnered with The Unsung Siblings Foundation to hand out gift baskets.

Their annual partnership is meant to comfort veterans during the holiday season.

News 12 is told over 15,000 worth of gift cards, essentials, dog treats and toys were gifted.
