The morning commute on the westbound Long Island Expressway was brought to a standstill after a tractor-trailer overturned in Melville.

The westbound lanes were closed from exits 49 to 50 after the accident.

Officials say the driver lost control while trying to merge and overturned. The driver is expected to be OK.

Crews worked through the morning to get the tractor-trailer upright.
