Officials say they are investigating the cause of a house fire in Middle Island Monday night.

The say the fire started around 5:30 p.m. at a home on Turnpike Boulevard.

According to Newsday, six departments spent more than 30 minutes battling the flames.

Fire officials say no one was in the home when firefighters arrived.
