A fire destroyed a Montauk restaurant just a day ahead of its planned Memorial Day weekend opening.

Officials say a fire started at Maison Close Montauk a little after 12 a.m. Friday.

They are working to determine what caused the fire on East Lake Drive.

On their Instagram, Maison Close Montauk thanked the community for their support, saying no one was hurt and that the restaurant will be back.
