A car smashed into a pole in Long Beach early Tuesday, officials say.

The Long Beach Fire Department tells News 12 it happened around 8:30 a.m. at Long Beach Boulevard and East Beech Street.

Some power was out in the area because the crash and the pole sustained minor damage.

The driver is expected to be OK.
