An NYPD recruit from Long Island has passed away from leukemia.

Jake Siciliano, 23, of Lynbrook, died on Tuesday morning, one month after he was admitted to the hospital.

Siciliano was three months into his police training, according to the Daily News.

Siciliano and his girlfriend got engaged on Oct. 1, days before he was diagnosed.
