An East Garden City man has been killed by falling debris in Manhattan.

The NYPD says Richard March-Hart's skull was fractured when he was hit by a piece of a fire escape that fell seven stories. 

It happened Friday in SoHo while a worker was doing an inspection.

The 58-year-old died at the hospital Saturday.
