Riding the bus in Nassau County could soon get more expensive.

NICE bus is proposing a 25-cent fare hike as part of its 2014 budget.

 

The proposal would increase the fare for riders who pay cash from $2.25 to $2.50.

Riders who pay using a Metrocard are already paying $2.50.

If approved, the hike would go into effect in September.
