Thousands of Long Island businesses could be getting refunds from National Grid.

About 3,600 companies are due for refunds plus interest, according to Newsday.

National Grid reportedly charged them at the wrong rate for natural gas since 2008.

The errors were discovered by utility consultants reviewing bills for clients.
