Police are taking extra steps to make sure temples and churches are safe during the holidays. 

Nassau police will announce "intensified" patrols around synagogues and churches during Passover and Easter. 

There are no specific threats against any Long Island locations. 

Last year Nassau police also had extra patrols for the Holy Week.
