Nassau police are searching for the gunman who opened fire in Lakeview Monday evening.

Police responded to a report of shots fired at a home on Woodfield Road just before 6 p.m.

One person was shot in the arm and taken to a local hospital.

The victim's identity and condition have not yet been released. 

The motive is not clear and so far no arrests have been made.
