INassau County pools are open for the summer, but the big question many still have is if there will be enough lifeguards.
Nassau County says it lowered age requirements and is offering $18 an hour plus free certifications for lifeguards.
The county says it has enough lifeguards to open, but is looking to hire more.
Officials say some lifeguards tend to leave by the end of the season for other jobs or school and if the county doesn't have enough lifeguards, public pool hours may be reduced.
However, everyone is hopeful that it doesn't come to that.
