The Long Island man who was wrongfully convicted of killing his parents is now a law school graduate.

Martin Tankleff, 42, received his law degree from Touro Law Center Sunday. He will need to pass the bar exam before he can begin practicing law.

Tankleff spent 17 years in prison after being convicted of his parents' 1988 murders. He was released in 2007 when the conviction was overturned.

Tankleff says he plans on establishing a foundation to help former inmates who were also wrongfully convicted of crimes.
