Police are searching for the person who stole thousands in jewelry from an Oceanside Costco.

Detectives say the man was seen inside the closed Costco store on Hampton Road around 10 p.m. on Christmas Eve. They are trying to determine if he hid inside the store.

That is when the man allegedly pried open a jewelry case, stole $92,000 worth of goods and then took off.
