A Bay Shore man died after he was struck by a car while crossing the street in Deer Park Friday night.

It happened around 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of Commack Road and Grand Boulevard.

Police say a 43-year-old driver in a Cadillac struck 60-year-old Nicholas Correa as he tried to cross.

Correa was rushed to Good Samaritan Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver is not facing any charges as this time.
