A Florida man is accused of slashing two police officers while they were trying to arrest him in Riverhead.

Robert Alan Vescio was taken into custody Saturday at the Hyatt Hotel.

News 12 is told that the 45-year-old man was not a guest at the hotel, but he refused to leave to lobby. Police were summoned to the scene.

That's when Vescio allegedly cut two officers with a saw blade.

The officers suffered minor injuries.
