NBA legend Magic Johnson was in the Bronx today to promote his new cable channel.

Johnson stopped by a Bronx call center for Cablevision, which is the parent company of News 12.

The new channel, Aspire, aims to promote positive programming. It will feature famous TV shows like "The Jeffersons" and "Sanford and Son."

Johnson says positive shows kept him off the streets and inside his house with his family when he was a child.

"Family is the most important, and those shows brought us together," Johnson said. "That family time made me into the man I am today."
