From beach gatherings to church services, people across Long Island celebrated Easter Sunday.

A sunrise Easter service was held at Jones Beach early Sunday morning.

Other people celebrated Easter Mass at their local church. Parishioners packed into St. Agnus Cathedral in Rockville Centre.

Many people said it was important to spend the holy day with their families.
