Suffolk County police are investigating the theft of seven aluminum bleachers from a Sachem Little League complex. Sachem Youth Athletic Group Commissioner Bob Cummings says the bleachers were stolen from Smith Field. According to Cummings, the bleachers each weigh 300 pounds and cost nearly $10,000. He also says the league lacks the money to replace them. Police say a trail of broken bleacher pieces led to a neighbor's fence. A search of that neighbor?s home failed to turn up any evidence.
