A gift donation event was held for families in need Wednesday night at Kreamer Street Elementary School in Bellport.

The event, sponsored by the Lighthouse Mission, was held for struggling families to ensure their children would be able to open gifts come Christmas Day.

It was the third consecutive year the Christmas event was held at the elementary school.
