A crash and fuel spill closed a stretch of the Long Island Expressway for hours this morning.

Police say a car, box truck and tractor-trailer were involved in a crash at 12:30 a.m. The crash caused a fuel spill.

Police had to close the LIE eastbound between Jericho Turnpike and Route 106 and 107.

Minor injuries were reported in the crash.
