There's a new call to protect the drinking water for some Suffolk County homeowners.
Senators Charles Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand want the EPA to release details of a study on the pollutant perfluorooctane sulfonate.
That study is said to have found that the chemical PFOS is dangerous at concentrations lower than originally thought.
PFOS is believed to be in firefighting foam used at MacArthur Airport.
As News 12 has reported, private wells around that area are going to be tested.
