Gilgo Beach victim Megan Waterman's sister says Friday was a bittersweet day over a decade in the making.

Police officers arrested Rex Heuermann in connection to three of the Gilgo Beach murders, includer Waterman's, Wednesday night in New York City. He was charged Friday with first- and second-degree murder for the deaths of Waterman, Melissa Barthelemy and Amber Costello.

"I know the details of her death, so now I have a face to the details of her death," says Waterman's sister, Allie Pertel. "So, I don't necessarily like having that closure, but it is a relief that we know who it was and that it will come to an end eventually."

Waterman's remains were found along Ocean Parkway on Dec. 13, 2010.

Prosecutors say she was contacted by a burner cell phone that day. They say her last call was received near Heuermann's home in Massapequa Park.
