At least Bronx three families are without heat and hot water following a roof collapse. 

According to the FDNY, the gas had to be turned off at 1511 Commonwealth Ave. when the roof came down on a detached garage. 

It says the gas will not be turned back on until the property owner makes necessary repairs. 

News 12 tried to contact the owner of the house, but keeps getting a busy signal.
