According to the most recent national survey, Long Islanders are paying more for gas than anywhere else in the country.

Regular gas on the Island today costs drivers an average of about $3.88 a gallon - 20 cents more than a month ago.

The survey finds the cheapest gas in Denver, Colo., about $3.01 a gallon.
