A fire in a Franklin Square garage caused more damage than expected.

The flames set off illegal fireworks inside the garage, according to the Franklin Square and Munson Fire departments.

A neighbor said his property was damaged when a box of fireworks exploded and landed on his lawn.

Officials say no one was injured.
