A fire ripped through a home in Dix Hills early this morning. 

Fire officials say the fire started in the basement of a home on Seamen Neck Road just after midnight. 

It is not clear what started the fire. 

News 12 Long Island has learned a man and woman inside the home managed to make it out safely.
