An intense fire broke out this morning at a home in North Merrick, and it was caught on camera.

Officials say the fire started at around 7:30 a.m. on Tyrus Court, causing extensive damage to the home.

Fire officials are not yet releasing any details, but News 12 is told the family was home at the time and managed to escape.
