A painting by late Brooklyn artist Jean-Michel Basquiat is on display at the Brooklyn Museum.
The 'untitled' painting was created in 1982 and bought by a Japanese art collector last year for $110 million.
The owner has allowed the painting to be displayed at the museum for a short time because the curator says the he wanted it to inspire future generations.
Basquiat grew up in Brooklyn and rose to fame as part of an informal graffiti duo who wrote enigmatic epigrams in the cultural hotbed of the Lower East Side of Manhattan.
He is known for his neo-expressionist paintings that have been displayed in galleries and museums across the world.
