Construction of the new Eighth Street Bridge, linking Passaic and Wallington, will be delayed.

Work fell behind schedule, and Passaic County was granted a seven-month extension on the project.

The new completion date is now sometime in August.

Wallington will now have to absorb the increase in heavy truck traffic during that time.
