East End: Long Island resident and Iron Chef Alex Guarnaschelli
Along with all the tourists who visit our East End this time of year, you'll also find many celebrities who call the area home.
That includes East Ender and Iron Chef Alex Guarnaschelli.
Guarnaschelli is known for a number of food shows -- including Chopped and The Kitchen.
She invited News 12 into her kitchen, where she talked about her Long Island roots.
Guarnaschelli now lives on the South Fork.
You can meet her and taste the dish she's preparing at an event she's taking part in this Thursday in connection with the U.S. Open in Queens.
“We have an event called ‘Flavors of the Open’ which introduces all the chefs that will be cooking at the U.S. Open and it's all under one roof. So you can come in, walk around and experience everything,” says Guarnaschelli.
