An officer was injured in a crash in Lindenhurst and police tell News 12 it was intentional.

The driver rammed into multiple police cars and the officer who was on foot.

The incident happened on 50th Street just after 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

Police say the driver fled the scene and the officer was taken to the hospital.

It's unclear the extent of their injuries.

An investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
