A dog was rescued from a frigid lake in North Patchogue and reunited with its owner on Friday.

North Patchogue firefighters safely brought the husky, named "Meeko," to shore.

Meeko went missing Thursday after crossing the ice. Kayla Romaneck says her family frantically searched for the dog, but could not find him.

Meeko's howling eventually alerted someone in the area who then called 911.

The dog appears to be glad to be back with his family.
