The Department of Motor Vehicles is consolidating its Port Jefferson location.

It is part of an effort by the DMV to improve operations and better use taxpayer resources.

Officials say current DMV staff at Port Jefferson will be relocated to four other offices, including Medford, Dix Hills, Hauppauge and Riverhead.
