New data shows New Yorkers are reaching out for help with gambling addiction.

The state’s comptroller says calls to New York’s problem gambling hotline jumped 26% from 2021 to 2022 Mobil sports betting also became legal last year.

The state is spending nearly $10 million on problem gambling services.
