Nassau County Executive Laura Curran is urging Long Islanders to stay safe and off the roads due to expected dangerous conditions during the latest nor'easter.
Curran says the county is ready, with plows and salt trucks out. She says the county is also going to start imposing an ordinance that does not allow private plows to bring snow from parking lots onto county roads.
A total of 6 to 12 inches of snow is expected island-wide.
Snow is expected to taper off west to east around 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. Thursday.
