Instead of decking the halls, they were decking the docks at the Sandspit Marina in Patchogue. 

Thousands turned out Sunday for the 21st annual Christmas Holiday Boat Parade. 

Boats decorated with Christmas lights and ornaments cruised around the marina.

This year's theme was "A Tropical Christmas."
