The third annual Kick Stands Up Motorcycle Poker Run and Car Show was held Saturday in Centereach to help homeless veterans on Long Island.
The event was hosted by the U.S. Military Vets Motorcycle Club. It benefited Suffolk County United Veterans, which helps veterans transition from the military back into civilian life.
Most of the organization's employees are trained veterans.
A highlight of the event was a 46-mile ride around Suffolk County. One of the stops was the John J. Lynch Veterans Place Shelter in Yaphank.
The event raised about $15,000.
