Officials say a young woman from Long Island died in a fiery plane crash in Atlanta.

Officials confirm Brittany McAuley, 23, of Holbrook, died when a small plane went down in the woods in Georgia on Tuesday.

McAuley had attended Emory University.

The small plane was headed to New Orleans from Fulton County Airport in Georgia.

The crash also killed the 67-year-old pilot from Atlanta.
