A child was struck by an SUV at 800 Home St. shortly after classes let out this afternoon.

Witnesses say the boy was crossing the street near a school when an SUV came around the corner.

The boy was hit in the nose by the SUV's side mirror.

The boy was taken to Lincoln Hospital with minor injuries.
