A Long Island boxer is in critical condition following a knockout on Saturday night.

Patrick Day's promoter says the 27-year-old Freeport native is currently in a coma.

The fight happened in Chicago, where Day was knocked out in the 10th round of the USBA super welterweight title fight.

His opponent Charles Conwell delivered a series of blows to Day that landed him in the hospital.
