Long Island native Billy Joel's foundation is going to donate $1 million to the Long Island School for the Arts in Syosset. 

The school has seen a drop in enrollment and faced the possibility of closing. 

Joel plans to meet with students in hopes of encouraging more kids to attend the high school.
